We are a strategic PRODUCT MANAGEMENT CONSULTING Group
for the FASHION
industry.
Angora Group is a fashion-industry “think tank” made up of like-minded experts in clothing, fit, and production. Over the course of our many projects, we have established what we like to call:
“The a.g. protocol.”
We have over 30 years of experience within the fashion industry and have worked with major brands. Strategy is at the center of how we execute, from working with management to build a foundation for a new project, or to elevate, reposition the brand with sound product, fabric and design execution. We pride ourselved in providing expert execution with cohesive merchandising and assortment planning for production.
This is a peek into our network: designers / technicians / developers / industry talent. Since she began her career in fashion in 1988, Nesli has worked both inside and alongside many fashion brands. Even early on, she knew it was vitally important to stay connected with her many inspiring and brilliant co-workers and colleagues. Thus, she has cultivated a unique talent to build a robust network of fashion professionals who understand and recognize the industry. Nesli doesn’t just connect people to brands, rather, she connects the very best in fashion to brands that best suit them and their talents. What truly motivates and excites Nesli: building the most capable team for each project and watching the product come to life.
At Angora, we love factories. Good factories. Clean factories. Green factories. Factories that treat employees respectfully and pay living wages. Thus, we are continuously expanding our network and nurturing our makers all over the world.
A note about nomenclature: We like to call those who make products “makers” as that’s what they do and that’s what they are. Let’s face it, makers are the real stars of the show here. In fact, we love them so much that our relationships go deep—some of our makers have been with us for over 20 years. Who are these makers? They can be a small or family owned businesses focusing on centuries-old craft. Or they can be larger, technology-driven conglomerates. Either way, the diversity of talent, craft, and skill are at the core of a successful brand launch.
When the Angora team and the makers come together—either in person or virtually—the magic happens. We know the brand founders are the visionaries, so we follow their lead and listen intently. What is new or groundbreaking that the brand wants to come up with? What makes their vision unique? How will they engage with the customer in new, more meaningful ways? We need to drill down and figure out what about the brand’s viewpoint is special. The Angora team slowly creates a customized plan for how to bring this vision to life through the products. It is a true collaboration.
Brand founders hire us because we have an amazing network of people. Our network consists of not only makers and factories but developers and technicians. Our founder, Neslihan Danisman, has spent years nurturing talent and making connections throughout the world. She is most proud of the network she has created and the introductions she is able to make.
We understand how to elevate product. Raw materials are the foundation of every product, and we are obsessed with finding the best, most innovative materials from the right locations. We want to present as many options as possible with a range of prices. We need to stay up to date, know what is happening with new fiber technologies, and be constantly sourcing new materials. In essence, we need to build the right relationships with the material innovators.
The company was founded in 2009, when Nesli Danisman existed corporate and found herself with far too many fashion projects and opportunities; instead of declining work, she, along with her husband, thought it prudent to launch a business.
Well, she began her career in fashion in 1988 at the legendary Charivari as an assistant buyer. And following, she worked both inside and alongside myriad fashion brands including Ralph Lauren and Marc Jacobs.
Even early on in her career, she knew it was vitally important to stay connected with the many inspiring and brilliant co-workers and colleagues. Thus, she has cultivated a unique talent to build a robust network of fashion professionals who understand and recognize the industry; she doesn’t just connect people to brands, rather, she connects the very best in fashion to brands that perfectly suit them and their talents. What truly motivates and excites Nesli: building the most capable team for each project and watching the product come to life.
Each project that Angora tackles has its own microcosm and has specific challenges. Knowing this, Nesli builds a core team of managers in-house who work alongside project-specific experts.

FUN FACT: "ANGORA" ALSO HAPPENS TO BE THE HISTORICAL NAME GIVEN TO THE MODERN-DAY TURKISH CAPITAL CITY OF ANKARA, WHERE NESLI WAS BORN.
QUITE SIMPLY, WE DON’T BELIEVE IN BUSINESS AS USUAL.
We believe that new brands need to rethink absolutely everything from the ground up—product to process to physical global impact. Angora stands at the ready to elevate your business, pushing the limits to stand out while minimizing your carbon footprint.
At the outset, we encourage our new clients to have tough conversations about emissions and waste and exactly what their transparency goals should be during the launch phase; these goals should be workable and achievable. Emissions should be measured at the outset to establish a baseline.
We also believe brands need to learn about toxicity and the specific chemicals eventually needed on raw materials and thus eventually on the products. Establishing guidelines and parameters with all supply chain partners is paramount to ensuring brands are doing the right things—environmentally and morally.
Because we have vast relationships globally, we have pull and influence to negotiate for you. As you start growing, we will help you build a more ambitious plan going forward—and the great thing here? You’ll have more buying power as you hit important quantity and quality milestones.
